This is Iris. She is a 3 signature, 180 page, Spring time junk journal. She is very bright and fresh with lots of journaling pages.
The original book cover is a Reader's Digest book that I have painted and crackled to look like the wood from an old house that had been painted green at one time then a white wash of white paint.
Dimensions are 7 5/8" tall and 5 1/2" wide with a 1 1/2" spine. Signatures have been sewn through the spine and outside spine has been covered with a white on white calico fabric. Many tuck spots, envelopes, journal cards within. Original ephemera as well as reproduced ephemera are added.
A doubled length of lavender seam binding is used as the closure.
The inside spine is reinforced with a spring green calico print.
The inside front and back covers have 4" deep pockets to hole extra writing papers, cards, etc.
Lots of sewing, eyelet trim adorn the cover pages of each signature and the tops of some other pages.

Lydia and Lullabelle, a 3 signature junk journal with 144+ pages.
This journal is beautiful!! The journal comes with a handmade pocket book purse fashioned from an old embroidered dresser scarf and a smaller embroidered piece as well.
The journal is tied with a length of muslin fabric.
A vintage lady's handkerchief embroidered with the letter 'L' is included as well.
The original book cover from a late 1800 - early 1900 book. It has a red marbled paper cover with corner embellishments.
The original spine was removed and my favorite method for a cloth spine has been used with a sturdy coverlet fabric for outside and canvas fabric on inside. It's been glued to book boards and paper fasteners (5 on each board) makes the cloth spine very secure.
The original front and back inside paper remains and is beautiful. A strip of fabric labels has been glued to where the inside spine fabric ends.
Lots of sewing, lace, trims, doo-dads, tuck spots, pockets, etc. Lots to look at. The book has a variety of coffee dyed pages, book pages, digital stamps and some collage.
Many pages are digital files available on my Etsy shop as well.
Dimensions of the journal are approximately 9 1/8 x 6" with about a 1 1/2" spine.

Pockets on inside front and back covers hold Christmas gift tags or journal tags.

My first Christmas Junk Journal for 2023!
Filled with tags, pockets, tuck spots, lots of sewing lace and trims. New ephemera, old ephemera. Beautiful Christmas pages. A length of oversized red rick rack can be used as a bookmark (I forgot to mention that).
Dimensions of the journal are 7 1/2 inches tall by 5 7/8 inches wide with an almost 2 inch cloth spine.
The signatures have been sewn into the cloth spine. A lacy strip of fabric will be adhered to the outer spine (had not been done pre video).
The book boards are from an old encyclopedia book. I wanted the marbled paper for the outside of my Christmas journal. So the boards were flipped inside out.
White buttons adorn the journal where the spine fabric has been attached to the front and back book boards. Jingle bells (2) are attached to the lace on each signature front page. A few other little charms decorate other pages too.
